Responsibilities are diverse, covering all aspects of our integrated operation, which includes the management of 600Ha of cereal crops, overseeing the health and production of 2,000 cross-bred ewes, and the day-to-day care of 500-600 Angus breeding cows. Additionally, the role encompasses responsibility for the effective management of 130Ha of irrigation infrastructure, making proven, hands-on experience in all these areas essential to ensure the seamless, high-standard operation of the farm. The Offer As the successful candidate of this challenging and rewarding position, you will receive a quality salary negotiated based on experience and proven capability. To support your role, a work vehicle will be provided. While there is unfortunately no on-site accommodation, the property's prime location in Beveridge, just 50km from Melbourne, places it within easy commuting distance of several major towns, with ample rental opportunities for which assistance may be negotiated. The Ideal Candidate The ultimate candidate will be a highly experienced, proactive, and self-motivated professional with a deep and comprehensive understanding of large-scale, mixed farming operations and the following attributes: Extensive, demonstrated experience across all facets of a mixed farming business, including livestock and cropping. Specific technical expertise in managing cereal crops, handling large flocks of cross-bred ewes, and managing Angus breeding cows. A strong ability to operate autonomously and effectively manage a team, taking full ownership of daily business operations. Mechanically competent and skilled in the use and maintenance of modern farm machinery and irrigation systems. Exceptional communication and organisational skills to manage all business requirements and effectively report to ownership.
